1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website https://www.collegesathi.org ("Website") and the associated applications, services, and APIs (collectively, "College Sathi," "Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to register an account. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you possess the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement and that you are an active college student, graduate, placement aspirant, or an authorized educational stakeholder.

3. User Registration and Account Responsibilities

To access our interactive placement prep tools, notes repository, and community workspaces, you must register an account.

• Registration Details: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete registration credentials (including your Name, Email, Mobile Number, College, Department/Branch, and Graduation Year).
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (passwords, OTPs). You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You are solely responsible for all actions taken under your account context.
• Verification Check: We reserve the right to verify student profiles via academic email matching or official document uploads (student ID card/enrollment proofs) to prevent fraudulent account generation.

4. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree to use College Sathi in compliance with these Terms, academic integrity policies, and applicable local and federal laws. You are expected to behave respectfully towards other students, seniors, and contributors in our workspaces, forums, and chats.

5. User Generated Content (UGC)

College Sathi permits users to submit, post, and share placement experiences, company interview questions, mock sheets, notes, documents, and reference files.

• Ownership and Responsibility: You retain ownership of the content you upload. However, you are solely responsible for the legality, validity, and accuracy of your UGC.
• Non-Infringement: You warrant that you hold all necessary copyright licenses and permissions to upload notes and documents. You agree NOT to upload copyright-protected assessment questions or company-proprietary training materials without authorization.
• Moderation Rights: College Sathi reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to review, hide, block, or permanently delete user content that we determine to be misleading, copyrighted, offensive, abusive, or otherwise illegal.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Excluding User Generated Content, all platform source code, custom React and Spring Boot structures, CSS design assets, vector illustrations, structural databases (MySQL templates), and brand trademarks (College Sathi name and spark logo) are the exclusive intellectual property of College Sathi.

By uploading UGC to our public platform, you grant College Sathi a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, copy, format, distribute, and display your resources to other verified student users.

7. Premium Membership and Subscription

College Sathi offers paid premium subscription plans ("Premium Membership") providing access to curated placement materials, mock test simulators, verified senior guidelines, and company preparation sheets.

• Access Scope: Premium subscriptions provide access to exclusive educational resources only. Access is restricted to a single student user per active billing cycle. Account sharing across multiple devices is strictly prohibited.
• Non-Commercial Use: Premium content must not be copied, screenshotted, downloaded for commercial distribution, or shared on external public clouds. Violation will lead to immediate account termination.

8. Payments and Billing

All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-compliant, and RBI-regulated third-party payment gateways. By purchasing a premium subscription, you agree to pay the stated fees plus any applicable local taxes. All billing cycles are handled automatically.

The interview reports, salary figures, placement statistics, and questions displayed on the Website are gathered from student reviews and voluntary feedback. While we strive to verify these inputs, College Sathi does not warrant the absolute accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information posted on our preparation hub.

12. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following unauthorized activities on the Platform:

• Scraping, automated data harvesting, or using scripts/robots to mass-download resumes, notes, or user profiles.
• Hacking, reverse engineering, or attempting to compromise our Spring Boot backend code or MySQL database schema.
• Uploading files that contain viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious software targeting Firebase Storage or cloud hosting instances.
• Sharing another user's personal, sensitive, or confidential academic details without their explicit consent.
• Misrepresenting your identity, academic branch, graduation status, or CGPA during registration or profile building.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account and wipe your profile data, without prior notice and liability, if:

• You violate any clause of these Terms.
• You upload copyrighted, pirated, or unauthorized documents.
• You engage in spamming, harassment, or security probing of the Platform.
• We are directed by governmental or legal orders.

15. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as Firebase Cloud, analytics tools, and payment gateways). We do not control these third-party environments and are not responsible for their terms of service, payment failures, or privacy mechanisms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian laws, College Sathi, its developers, organizers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of career opportunities, loss of revenue, or transactional disputes arising from your use of the Platform.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

College Sathi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Platform will run error-free, uninterrupted, or securely.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless College Sathi and its operations from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising from your use of the Platform, your uploaded User Generated Content, or your violation of these Terms.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When updates are published, we will modify the "Effective Date" at the top of the document. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of **India**. Any legal actions, proceedings, or disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in **Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India** (the home city of MBM University).
